This morning we had an extra special visitor in the store, my mom. My mom (as mentioned before in my Valentine’s Day Post) is THE most creative and talented person ever, (I am not even biased, everyone agrees) and she always comes up with the most amazing ideas for our windows. This time she really outdid herself- she made gorgeous flowers out of paper and lined the windows with paper grass. My description really doesn’t do it justice, so check back on Wednesday to see pictures and then you’ll understand just what I mean.
Looking at the window all day has put me in such a cheerful, springy mood, and now I am all excited about florals!
I don’t think I could ever wear shorts this short, but I like the idea of adding floral patches to distressed jeans. Note to self: try this for a fun DIY project.
I think these floral trousers are so fun for spring and summer. I found a great pair on clearance at Anthropologie last year, so I need to remember to pull them out. I love pairing them with flat sandals and basic striped top. (My mom would be so proud of me, mixing stripes and a floral print, though plaid and floral prints was always her favorite combo)
This floral kimono style jacket would be so great to layer over simple t-shirts and dresses. I’ve been on the lookout for a great silk jacket, and floral print seems like perfect print for such a draped silhouette. I might have to add this to my spring shopping list.
One of the best inventions of the last decade was “Design your own Keds.” I’m so upset to learn it’s no longer an option, but thank goodness they have some cute styles like the cute floral ones pictured above. These would be perfect everyday shoes- how cute would they be with ankle length white jeans? Add both of these to my spring must-haves list.
Floral dresses and skirts are always good options, but I think it’s extra fun to wear floral in more unexpected ways. What about you guys? Any floral trends your especially excited to try? What about floral jeans? I’d love to hear!
Until next time…
Kelly
